MAP Testing for Fall|| Grades 2-8
At Harvest Christian Academy, we count it a privilege to partner with you to educate and disciple your student. Therefore, we are intentional about meeting his/her educational and spiritual needs. As we work to develop your student as a learner, we evaluate data to help make academic decisions about how best to support his/her learning.
One initiative of our school improvement plan is to academically advance our students by identifying their current level of academic mastery—then to increase academic rigor to challenge them to maximize their growth potential. At HCA, we use multiple measures to gauge student progress. One measure we use to measure student growth is our MAP testing, which, in conjunction with classroom performance and other assessments, provide vital student achievement data. MAP testing is a vital instrument that is used to guide us toward our academic objectives in language arts, mathematics, and science. This data is a tool that informs us regarding “what” (or at what level) a child is ready to learn.
Therefore, as we approach our fall testing window, it is imperative we partner together to help students understand the significance of always doing their best during a testing opportunity. Please make sure your student gets a good night sleep, has a great breakfast and is ready to show us their best on this important test.
