    Lower School Art
Academic art for grades one through five meets once a week. Students learn different artists and cultures and will use the art elements to create their own artwork. In art class, students will experiment with a variety of mediums including pencil, oil pastels, watercolor and tempera paints and clay.  They see God as Master Creator of everything and the giver of all good things, including our creativity and talents.

    Upper School Art
In sixth grade, students participate in art every day for one semester. Sixth grade studies art history along with art production, using a variety of art mediums. In seventh and eighth grade, students may choose to take 2D art first semester and 3D art second semester.  2D art is drawing and painting and 3D art is working with form, mainly clay.  For high school, the following electives are offered: Drawing, Painting, Ceramics I and Ceramics II.

    ASCI Art Festival
For the past six years, we have hosted the ACSI art festival.  Student artwork will be chosen for this event, grades K-12.  The festival is a highly anticipated event with artwork from many schools in our region.

    Judson High School Exhibit
For the past two years, Harvest Christian Academy has participated in the Judson High School Exhibit.  Artwork is chosen by Judson University’s art department for this event.  Prizes are awarded and students have the opportunity to have their portfolios reviewed by professors.
