Melanie Lanter is Harvest's High School Science teacher earning her Secondary Ed. degree with emphasis in Biology graduating Cum Laude from Judson University in 2005. Before coming to Harvest Christian Academy, Miss Lanter taught at Youth Chance High School in San Francisco. She began attending Harvest Bible Chapel in 2001. After accepting she could never be perfect and not even good enough, Miss Lanter gave her heart to the Lord when she was 16 years old. Why does she teach? Miss Lanter says it best in her own words: "I teach because it’s the frontlines where change begins. Students get the opportunity to figure out what their passionate about as they explore different courses and teachers get to be the people who ignite passion, who inspire discovery, and who instill values. These things lead to change and I’m all about changing lives for Christ." Her life verse is Lamentations 3:21-24 “But this I call to mind and therefore have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. ‘The Lord is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘therefore I will hope in him.’”
