Kelly Friestad

Physical EducationMiss Friestad has been on staff teaching P.E. since 2009. She also coaches the high school varsity girls’ basketball team. She graduated from Judson University with a Bachelor’s degree in physical education. After graduating, she spent a year as a substitute teacher in the Elgin area and as an aide in a special education classroom. She was also an assistant basketball coach for the Judson University Lady Eagles.

Miss Friestad thoroughly enjoys coaching, playing, and watching almost all sports and has a passion for sports ministry. She was honored for her hard work during her years at Newark High school where she earned 11 varsity letters and was acknowledged for her accomplishments by being inducted into her high school hall of fame.

Her favorite verse is Romans 8:28 (ESV) "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose."
