WELCOME BACK LETTER
Dear Third Grade Student,
Happy summer! I hope you have been having a wonderful time hanging out with your family and friends and enjoying this hot weather. My name is Ginger Oostdyk, and I will be your third grade teacher this year at HCA. I am so excited that you will be in my class!
I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I was born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan, but have lived in the Elgin area for 19 years. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, and serving at my church. I love to travel and look forward to sharing some of my adventures with you. My family and I went to Washington D.C., Niagara Falls, and Mackinaw Island, MI this summer. What adventures did you have? I can’t wait to hear all about them!
Third grade is a special year! We will have tons of fun learning about the Solar System, influential people in our nation’s history, and the life of Jesus. We will also read lots of fascinating stories, solve challenging math problems, and even go on some field trips! I cannot wait to get started! I hope to see you at our Meet the Teacher Day on August 19th between 10:30 and 12:00 noon. Make sure you bring everything you need. I am praying for a great year of learning and new friendships!
